Opið er fyrir framboð til varaforseta LÍS fyrir starfsárið 2020-2021. Framboð skulu berast á kjorstjorn@studentar.is fyrir kl 23:59 þann 18. maí n.k.. Framboðum skulu fylgja kynningarbréf og ferilskrá frambjóðenda. Kosningar til varaforseta eiga sér stað á skiptafundi LÍS þann 26. maí.

Lýsing á framkvæmdastjórn og embætti varaforseta úr lögum LÍS:

19. gr. Skipun framkvæmdastjórnar

Í framkvæmdastjórn sitja forseti, varaforseti, ritari, fjáröflunarstjóri, alþjóðafulltrúi, gæðastjóri, markaðsstjóri og jafnréttisfulltrúi sem kosnir eru í embætti á landsþingi, sbr. 49. gr. Framkvæmdastjórn sækir umboð sitt til fulltrúaráðs.

20. gr. Hlutverk og skyldur framkvæmdastjórnar

Framkvæmdastjórn stjórnar daglegu starfi samtakanna í samræmi við lög þessi, stefnur og samþykktir samtakanna. Þá tekur framkvæmdastjórn að sér önnur tilfallandi verkefni er lúta að hagsmunum stúdenta.

21. gr. Skyldur og réttindi meðlima framkvæmdastjórnar

Fulltrúar í framkvæmdastjórn bera ábyrgð á miðlun upplýsinga til fulltrúaráðs. Við atkvæðagreiðslu á fundum framkvæmdastjórnar hefur hver fulltrúi eitt atkvæði og ræður einfaldur meirihluti atkvæða.

Fulltrúar hafa rétt til setu, málfrelsi og tillögurétt á fundum fulltrúaráðs og landsþingi.

25. gr. Varaforseti

Varaforseti skal sinna forsæti í fjarveru forseta. Varaforseti skal aðstoða forseta við gerð fundardagskrár. Varaforseti hefur yfirumsjón með lagabreytingum samtakanna og fer fyrir lagabreytingarnefnd. Lagabreytinganefnd skal endurskoða lög samtakanna ár hvert. Varaforseti ber ábyrgð á samskiptum við aðildarfélög og vinnu á milli LÍS og aðildarfélaganna sem snýr að uppbyggingu innra starfs samtakanna sem og aðildarfélaganna, sé þess óskað af þeim.

LÍS has opened for applications for the position of Vice-President for the year 2020-2021. Applications must be submitted to kjorstjorn@studentar.is before 11:59 pm on May 18th. Each application should contain a letter of introduction and CV. Elections will take place at the last meeting of this years Representative Board on May 26th. Article 19 - Appointment of the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee consists of a: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Funding Officer, International Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Marketing Officer and Equal Rights Officer. They are all elected at the National Assembly, cf. Article 49. The Union seeks its mandate to the Board of Representatives. The names of the Executive Commission in English are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Funding Officer, International Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Marketing Officer and Equal Rights Officer.

Article 20 - The role and duties of the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee manages the daily activities of LÍS in accordance with it’s laws, the policies and the resolutions of the association. In addition, the Executive Committee undertakes other tasks that might arrise in connection to students interests.

Article 21 - Duties and Rights of the Executive Committee

Members of the EC are responsible for disseminating information to the Board of Representatives. Each member of the EC has one vote and a simple majority of votes is needed to approve proposals. Members of the Union have the right to sit, speak and vote at meetings of the Board of Representatives and at the National Assembly.

Article 25 - Vice-President

The Vice-President shall stand in for the President in his absence. The Vice-President shall assist the President in making agendas for meetings. The Vice-President oversees the legislative amendments of the association and is responsible for the Legislative Committee. The committee shall review the law of the association each year. The Vice-President is responsible for relations with the local unions and work between LÍS and the local unions on the structure of the internal work of the association as well as the local unions, upon request.
