Langar þig til þess að hafa áhrif og vera með í hagsmunabaráttu stúdenta á landsvísu? Landssamtök íslenskra stúdenta (LÍS) auglýsa eftir áhugasöm einstaklingum í gæðanefnd, alþjóðanefnd, jafnréttisnefnd og markaðsnefnd. Opið er fyrir umsóknir til 22. September 2025. Í umsókn skal koma fram: Hvaða nefnd þú sækir um í, nafn, menntun, reynsla af félagsstörfum og/eða önnur reynsla sem gæti nýst og stutt lýsing á ástæðu umsóknar. Við hvetjum einstaklinga af öllum kynjum til að sækja um. Umsóknir berast á lis@studentar.is.
LÍS voru stofnuð 3. nóvember 2013 og eru samtök háskólanema á Íslandi sem og íslenskra háskólanema á erlendri grundu. LÍS eru regnhlífarsamtök og standa að þeim átta aðildarfélög sem eru í forsvari fyrir stúdenta við Háskólann á Akureyri, Háskólann á Bifröst, Landbúnaðarháskóla Íslands, Listaháskóla Íslands, Háskólann í Reykjavík, Háskólann á Hólum, Háskóla Íslands og fyrir íslenska stúdenta sem stunda nám erlendis. LÍS er því í forsvari fyrir rúmlega 20 þúsund íslenskra stúdenta.
ALÞJÓÐANEFND
Alþjóðanefnd LÍS sinnir alþjóðlegum skuldbindingum LÍS, sækir fróðleik til alþjóðlegra stúdenta og færir þann fróðleik heim til Íslands. Nefndin sinnir undirbúningsvinnu og úrvinnslu í kringum alþjóðlega viðburði sem fulltrúar LÍS sækja, þá einna helst á vegum Evrópusamtaka stúdenta (ESU), ásamt því að endurskoða alþjóðastefnu LÍS. Með þátttöku í nefndinni munu meðlimir fá innsýn inn í starf LÍS og ekki síður inn í störf alþjóðlegra stúdentahreyfinga en nefndin sér um að kynna sér og vekja athygli á tækifærum til þátttöku stúdenta í alþjóðlegu stúdentasamstarfi. Nefndin mun í sameiningu móta starf vetrarins undir handleiðslu alþjóðafulltrúa. Laus sæti í nefndinni eru þrjú. Hvers kyns reynsla eða þekking á alþjóðlegri umhverfi er kostur en alls ekki krafa, einungis brennandi áhugi á því að læra nýja hluti!

GÆÐANEFND
Brennur þú fyrir eflingu íslensks háskólaumhverfis? Þá er gæðanefndin fyrir þig. Nefndin starfar náið með fjölbreyttum einstaklingum og stofnunum á landsvísu sem vinna að eflingu gæða háskólanáms svo sem Rannís og Gæðaráði íslenskra háskóla. Skemmtileg verkefni eru á döfinni starfsárið sem öll hafa það að markmiði að auka þekkingu á gæðamálum meðal íslenskra stúdenta sem og að efla þátttöku þeirra í gæðastarfi háskólanna. Um er að ræða einstakt tækifæri til að efla gæði háskólanáms á Íslandi.

JAFNRÉTTISNEFND
Jafnréttisnefnd heldur utan um verkefni og viðburði LÍS sem tengjast jafnréttismálum. Nefndin ber ábyrgð á því að jafnrétti sé framfylgt í öllum málum og skal vera framkvæmdarstjórn LÍS til ráðgjafar í störfum og málefnum stjórnar. Nefndin mun eiga í samráði við jafnréttisnefndir háskólanna og taka þátt í öðrum verkefnum. Laus sæti í nefndinni eru þrjú.

MARKAÐSNEFND
Markaðsnefndin miðar að því að efla sýnileika samtakanna innan íslensks samfélags og sérstaklega háskólasamfélagsins. Nefndin heldur utan um vefsíðu samtakanna, samfélagsmiðla og hlaðvarpi, í samvinnu við önnur embætti og nefndir varðandi innihald. Nefndin skipuleggur og framkvæmir tvær markaðsherferðir á hverju ári til þess að vekja athygli á réttindabaráttu stúdenta og er einnig ábyrg fyrir skipulagningu viðburða samtakanna ásamt fjármálanefnd. Reynsla og/eða þekking á grafískri hönnun, ritun og/eða samfélagsmiðlum er kostur. Formaður nefndarinnar er framkvæmdastjóri LÍS. Laus sæti í nefndinni eru þrjú.

Do you want to make an impact and take part in advocating for the interests of Icelandic university students? The National Union of Icelandic Students (LÍS) has available seats in four of its committees: Quality Assurance Committee, Equal Rights Committee, International Committee and the Marketing Committee. Applications are open until September 22nd. Please let us know which committee you are interested in, your full name, education, experience of social activities and/or other relevant experience and a few sentences describing your motivation for applying. We encourage individuals of any gender to apply for the available positions.
LÍS was founded November 3rd 2013 and is a union for students of hight education in Iceland, including those studying abroad. LÍS is an umbrella organization within which there are eight member unions that represent the students of the University of Akureyri, Bifröst University, the Agricultural University of Iceland, Hólar University College, University of Iceland, Reykjavík University, the Art Academy of Iceland, and for Icelandic students that study abroad. LÍS therefore represents about 20 thousand students.

INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE
The International Committee is responsible for the international obligations of LÍS. It gathers knowledge from foreign student unions and brings that knowledge back to Iceland. The Committee prepares and processes international events attended by LÍS representatives, primarily under the European Student Union (ESU). They will also work on updating LÍS’s international policy. Through participation in the committee, members will gain insight into the work of LÍS, as well as the work of international student movements. The Committee is responsible for shedding light on opportunities regarding student participation in any kind of international student co-operation. The committee will, under the guidance of the International Officer, collectively shape the committee’s activities for the upcoming academic year. There are three seats available in this committee.

QUALITY COMMITTEE
Are you passionate about improving the Icelandic system of higher education? Then the Quality Committee is something for you. The Committee is responsible for the engagement of students in quality assurance nationwide and works closely with other units and institutions that work on the improvement of the quality of higher education. E.g. the Icelandic Centre for Research (RANNÍS) and the Quality Council of Icelandic Universities. All projects have a goal of promoting knowledge of quality matters among Icelandic students and inspire their participation. This is a unique opportunity to improve the quality of higher education in Iceland. There are three seats available in this committee.

EQUALITY COMMITTEE
The Equal Rights Committee is involved in and responsible for tasks and events that LÍS undertakes that involve social justice-related affairs. The committee is responsible for overseeing that everyone is equal in all of LÍS’ affairs and shall guide and advise the Executive Committee of LÍS in matters of equality and equal rights. The committee will be working with the equal rights committees and officers of member unions as well as participating in other projects. There are three seats available in this committee.

MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Marketing Committee aims to promote the union within the Icelandic community and especially the university community. The committee manages the union’s website, social media and podcast, in collaboration with other officers and committees with regards to content. The committee plans and executes two marketing campaigns each year, that highlight specific issues concerning students’ rights and is also responsible for planning the union’s events along with the Finance Committee. Experience and/or knowledge of graphic design, writing and/or social media is an advantage. There are three seats available in this committee.
